About Geoff

Geoff is a beer lover and home-brewer from way back. He made his first beer in 1989 and has brewed thousands of bottles and dozens of kegs. His view about home brew is simple: "The more you drink the more you save." (or, in Latin, this website's motto, "multi bibus, multi conservatus").

When Geoff hasn't got a homebrew in his hand (which isn't often) he enjoys anything hoppy and hazy. He is a barrister and lives in Jan Juc, Victoria, Australia, and his local brewery is Blackman’s.

Outside of brewing and drinking, Geoff enjoys (in no particular order of preference or proficiency) surfing, cycling, skiing, scuba diving, golf, travel, camping, swimming, classical music, record collecting and bushwalking; and in recent times he has developed an interest in ornithology, much to his family’s wife’s bemusement.

Geoff also plays bass guitar (cue mid-life crisis).

His favourite film is Planet of the Apes and he barracks for Richmond (Go Tigers!) in the Australian Football League.
